Chad Neil is the President of J.G. Neil & Company. Chad is currently out of the Portland office, and in addition to being President of JG Neil he oversees the beverage category for all territories of the company. Chad has been in the food brokerage business for over 18 years, working in both the Oregon and Washington markets. He received his Bachelors degree from the University of Washington.
Dave has been in the Pacific Northwest foodservice market his entire career and brings experience in all facets of the industry to J.G. Neil. Notably, Dave has been a National Accounts Manager, Business Development Manager, and served 2 separate occasions as a broker. Dave brings extensive market knowledge and expertise to the Military and industrial segments. I was asked by one regional manager to give some of Dave’s background and I answered back that “He has forgotten more people in the market than I have ever met.”
Nicole started with J.G. Neil in August of 2006 with a background in customer service. Prior to joining J.G. Neil, Nicole taught a customer service program designed to promote excellence and teach representatives the skills required to handle customers with the utmost quality and service. This is Nicole’s first experience working in the food service industry, but with a strong background in customer service, she has taken to her position quickly and is even learning a bit about food!
Jen joined JG Neil and Company in 2011 as our Marketing Coordinator. She works with our account managers and manufacturers to streamline the annual marketing plans of our distributors. Additionally, Jen works with account managers to design and develop marketing material and promotional material to drive sales through the distributor to the operator.
Marianne has worked in all facets of the food service industry since 1978 including distributor sales, regional and sales manager positions for a manufacturer and an independent sales consultant. She joined JG Neil when Jim & Chad purchased her business in 2010. For the last 15 years Marianne has focused her attention on sales in the K-12 and Healthcare segment of the business, an area she is passionate about.
Grant joins JG Neil and Company with 15 years of food service sales experience. Grant worked as a distributor sales rep for Food Services of America in Kent followed by a 4 year role as Account Lead for Morton and Associates working with FSA. Most recently Grant has worked as a region manager for Oregon Ice Cream covering the Northwest region. In addition, Grants extensive operator work in the region has forged tremendous relationships with some of the finest restaurant operators and local chains in the Northwest.
Steve is a part of our Seattle sales team and is a 22 year foodservice veteran with experience in Distributor sales, Broker sales and Manufacturer sales. Most recently Steve spent the past 5 years as the Italian/Pizza segment specialist with Sysco Seattle where he grew the segment by double digits each year
Kelly serves the role as our Healthcare Sales Specialist. Kelly had previously been with Diamond Crystal Nutritional Products. She is a registered diet tech and has a culinary degree. Kelly brings a wealth of knowledge to our company, both in sales experience and the technical healthcare market.
Brenda joined JG Neil in 2017, and has over 10 years in the industry. Broker experience as Sales & Marketing Support working on marketing plans, cruise line and school bids and food shows. Six years at US Foods, Territory Manager, most recently selling to the marine & fishing industry in Alaska. Knowledge and experience in sales, marketing, bids, distributor sales, purchasing, logistics and customer service.
Jim has been with the company since 1992 and took over the role as president in 1998 when he and his brother purchased the company from their father. Jim has both his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Washington and ran the company from J.G. Neil’s corporate office in Seattle from 1998 – November 2015. Jim maintains an active role as Business Partner.
Scott joined JG Neil and Company in 2017 to help support our sales and service team. Scott manages sales support, samples and POS for all three offices as well as managing customer service for a number of our Principals.s.
Sharon joined JG Neil and company in 2012 to support our customer service team. Her level headedness and desire to solve problems for our customers makes her a perfect fit for the responsibilities she has for the company
Isha Joined JG Neil and Company in 2009 to help support our sales and service team, and POS Coordinator. Isha now is a Customer Service Representative for K-12 school lines, and Bid processor.
Natalie started with JG Neil &Co in September 2015. Helping others has always been a passion of Natalie’s and with that she brings over 27 years in Customer Service of which 25 of those years were spent in Higher Education. Natalie’s logic to customer service has been to do the best you can to keep a customer happy, and be honest with them. Natalie received her AA at Southwestern Christian College and a BA from Barnes Business College.
Wayne Norwood joined J.G. Neil & Company in November of 2002 as a distributor manager in the southwest Washington and Oregon markets. Wayne has over 35 years experience in the food service industry, having worked in all aspects of the business ranging from manufacturer representative to institutional food service broker.
Pam joined JG Neil and Company in 2013 as a sales support specialist. She works with our Oregon Sales team and provides assistance to all of our Sales reps and handles all sample coordination, pos and sales meeting/foodshow organization.
Suzann joined JG Neil in late 2012. She has been in the brokerage business since 2004, and prior to that was a School Food Service Director in Oregon for 14 years.
Kirk has over 20 years sales experience in both retail and broad line distribution in the food industry. Having worked for both Gallo wines and Nabisco, he gained invaluable experience that would lead him to the restaurant side of the food industry. After spending many years working in sales for a broad line distributor he chose to open and co-own several café’s and a catering company. This varied experience gives him a unique perspective to better serve our customers.
Jim has been a been in the Foodservice industry for the past 21 years and has over 30 years in the industry. Prior to joining JG Neil, Jim has been in the Foodservice Brokerage business as a FSA Distributor lead for the past 15 years, and received nominations for Broker of the Year with FSA all 15 years. He enjoyed the privilege of being FSA’s Broker of the Year, 5 of those years and has represented the COP of the Year for several years as well. Prior to that, Jim was a DSR for FSA Portland for 4 years with sales growth of over 30% year over year. A Portland native, Jim also enjoys Photography, Snow
Skiing and just being out in nature.
Malcolm joined JG Neil in 2016 as a Specialty Account Manager. Before getting into the food industry world, he spent 4 years as a Music teacher for a middle school in Portland and 5 years as a professional musician. His background in promoting/playing music has benefited him in sales/customer service by being able to use comparable selling tactics and the ability to converse with customers. In 2013, Malcolm started in the food industry working in the warehouse for Core Group and by 2015 he was promoted to working for the sales force of that company. He works with the Oregon sales team covering all of Southern Oregon, parts of Portland and eastern Oregon. Malcolm is constantly gaining more knowledge in the business to better serve and sell product to customers.
Kevin is the J.G. Neil Corporate Chef and sales representative for eastern Washington. He has been with J.G. Neil since September of 2004. Prior to coming to J.G. Neil, Kevin was a professional Chef in the Seattle area where he earned a culinary degree from South Seattle Community College in 1988. He has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, having worked his way up through the ranks of some of Seattle’s premier kitchens. He was an Executive Chef for the last 8 years of his career.
Kevin has appeared in Chef Magazine, Entertaining the Costco Way and KCTS Chefs. In 2002 he had the honor of cooking dinner for the members of the James Beard Foundation at the James Beard House in Manhattan, New York. Soon thereafter, he began to explore other opportunities in the hospitality industry, at which time he joined the J.G. Neil team as a food broker. He’s enjoying every minute of it.
Tom has been in foodservice sales for the last 17 years. The past 11 years Tom worked with Summit Brokerage where he focused on all levels of distribution, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 distributors in the Spokane market. Prior to Summit he spent 6 years as Eastern WA Territory Sales Manager for RSI Specialty Food Equipment selling equipment to all accts from espresso drive throughs to grocery stores; specializing in espresso machines, Taylor ice cream machines, Manitowoc ice machines and chicken broasters. Tom is a graduate of Kent State University with Bachelor of Science degree.
Cory Gibson joined J.G. Neil & Company in 2014 as an Account Manager in the Eastern Washington and North Idaho markets. Cory has over 15 years experience in the food service industry, having worked in all aspects of the business ranging from restaurant manager to his most recent position as Marketing Associate with Sysco Spokane. Cory received his Bachelors degree from Eastern Washington University and is continuously expanding his knowledge to be an increasingly important asset to his customers and their business.
